Family counseling includes multiple members of one family. For example, parents and teens may work together with a therapist to make agreements and solve problems. Parents and children of all ages may participate in art, experiential activities, or discussion to increase understanding and find new ways of relating to one another. Sometimes adult members of a family participate in counseling to solve relationship problems or recover from past hurt and resentment.
